1. January USDA Reports follow-up: We'll be watching the trade following Friday's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE), grain stocks and wheat plantings reports, which had some bullish news at least short-term. For our review of the report see here:https://www.dtnpf.com/… and https://www.dtnpf.com/….
2. Best Young Farmers and Ranchers: We'll have features on the 15th class of the DTN/Progressive Farmer Best Young Farmers and Ranchers. Watch for these stories and videos during the next two weeks. The latest Field Posts podcast, Episode 224, is about them and can be found at https://www.dtnpf.com/…. You can also find their profiles in your Progressive Farmer January issue, or online here: https://www.dtnpf.com/…. Find out also how you can nominate yourself, your neighbors or others to be our next class in 2026.
3. Slight calm after snowstorms: Many areas of the country will see temperatures dip early in the week following the latest system of snow and ice.
